In my role as the sales manager for a fleet management system, popular among large private truck fleets, I often found that our standard reporting didn’t fully meet the needs of some customers. Many fleet managers wanted industry-specific reporting, while others wanted to integrate our data into their existing logistics, payroll or accounting systems. I often contracted with SanDC to work with the customer to develop very successful custom solutions.

As a sales manager, I considered it most important to build solid relationships with my customers and introducing SanDC’s products to them helped immeasurably. Our joint customers were often industry leaders and achieved improved performance and safety levels, and lower operating costs that had a positive impact on their bottom line.

I became acquainted with SanDC through a vendor partnering with SanDC in order to sell their on-board computer system. Although the vendor’s system was not up to the task we needed, our company did choose to do business with SanDC. The relationship we began with SanDC would prove to be most beneficial.

Our company had just completed a major acquisition doubling its size. However, due to the core business of the acquired company; bulk gas business increased by more than five times. Bulk logistics was saddled with two DOS based systems not communicating, outdated, inadequate for the task, and about to run head on into the Y2K dilemma.

We commissioned SanDC to develop a solution bringing collaboration, efficiency, and up to the minute information to each dispatcher chair. We also added extensive reporting to manage and measure our results. During development, implementation, and use of this information system, SanDC was a partner to our needs, communicated with our staff and handled our project in a professional and consistent manner. I will add that during the time our project was being developed, our business was constantly growing, bringing added opportunity to both parties.

Although our company was acquired during 2005 by a much larger company, and I have moved into other areas I have remained in contact with Jeff Johnson of SanDC, both as a friend and business contact. I would not hesitate to recommend SanDC as a partner to your business. -KB
